Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Day 1: Arrival Hanoi – Hanoi City Tour (L/D)

Meals: Lunch, Dinner | Overnight: Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, meet your local guide and enjoy lunch featuring Hanoi favourites such as Pho or Banh Mi.

In the afternoon, explore the capital’s key attractions, including Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ba Dinh Square, Ngoc Son Temple, Hanoi Old City Gate, Trainline Street, Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Hanoi Opera House. Continue to Hanoi Old Quarter, known for its historic 36 streets.

Enjoy Hanoi-style egg coffee before dinner at a local restaurant, featuring Cha Ca grilled fish. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight.

Day 2Day 2: Hanoi – Sapa Valley – Cat Cat Village (B/L/D)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Overnight: Sapa

After breakfast, depart Hanoi for Sapa by coach. The journey follows the highway through northern Vietnam, with a comfort stop en route.

Upon arrival in Sapa, check in to the hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk to Cat Cat Village, home to the Black Hmong community.

Follow the easy walking route through mountain scenery, rice paddies and waterfalls while observing the daily life of the local people. Discover traditional weaving activities and browse handmade souvenirs and local products along the way.

Return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3Day 3: Sun World Fansipan Legend – Moana Sapa (B/L)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch | Overnight: Sapa

After breakfast, walk to Sun Plaza Station in Sapa Town and board the Muong Hoa Mountain Railway to Sun World Fansipan Legend.

Enjoy the included Fansipan experience, featuring the mountain railway, cable car, park entrance, funicular ride to the Fansipan summit and buffet lunch at Van Sam Restaurant. Spend time exploring the attraction and taking in the sweeping views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.

In the afternoon, visit Moana Sapa, a scenic check-in complex featuring signature photo spots such as the infinity swing, Bali Gate and golden hand sculpture. Dinner is at your own arrangement. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4Day 4: Sapa Valley – Hanoi (B)

Meals: Breakfast | Overnight: Hanoi

After breakfast, join a guided walking tour around Sapa Town. Visit Sapa Town Square, Sapa Church, Sapa Culture Museum and Sapa Market.

Enjoy free time to relax and explore Sapa at your own pace. Check out from the hotel at noon before departing for Hanoi by limousine van in the afternoon.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight.

Day 5Day 5: Departure Hanoi (B)

We have done a private tour going to: HOA LU TEMPLE - MUA CAVE - TRANG AN Miami was our lovely tour guide. Her English was excellent and clear. She hosting us in the perfect possible way. We had a late arrival the day before and left us to rest during the 2,5 hour drive.  Verified Perfect Ninh Binh day with Hai — Hoa Lu, Hang Mua & Trang An
We did a private day tour with Hai covering Hoa Lu, Hang Mua Cave, and Trang An, and it was an excellent day. Hai was punctual, easy to talk to, and very well organized. At Hoa Lu he explained the history of the ancient capital clearly without making it feel like a lecture. At Hang Mua he paced the climb well, gave us time for photos at the viewpoint, and kept the visit comfortable. Trang An was the highlight — the boat ride through the caves and temples was beautiful, and Hai handled the timing and logistics smoothly so we didn’t feel rushed. What stood out most was how personal the day felt. Hai adjusted the schedule to us, made practical suggestions, and was patient and professional from start to finish. If you want to see Hoa Lu, Hang Mua, and Trang An in one day with a reliable private guide, we highly recommend Hai. We would book him again.
