Every confirmed Indochina Travel Group quotation clearly identifies the services included, excluded and available as optional additions before you confirm your booking.

CUSTOMIZE ONE OF THESE TOURSCHOOSE YOUR ROUTE
For a short holiday, focusing on one region usually gives you more usable sightseeing time and fewer long transfers. Choose the route according to what you want to experience rather than trying to cover the whole country in a few days. If you are still deciding between North, Central, South or Phu Quoc, use our where to go in Vietnam from Malaysia guide before choosing a package.
CENTRAL VIETNAM
A strong choice for first-time visitors, couples, families and short holidays combining the Golden Bridge, Hoi An Ancient Town, coastal scenery and easy sightseeing.
NORTHERN VIETNAM
Suitable for travelers who prefer mountains, cooler highlands, historical Hanoi and Vietnam’s dramatic limestone landscapes.
SOUTHERN VIETNAM
Works well for travelers looking for city experiences, markets, Vietnamese history, Cu Chi and a Mekong Delta excursion.
COAST & HIGHLANDS
A balanced route for travelers who want to combine Nha Trang’s coastal atmosphere with the cooler climate, cafés, gardens and highland scenery of Da Lat.
ISLAND HOLIDAY
Choose Phu Quoc for a more relaxed island holiday with beaches, resort time and optional sightseeing rather than a fast multi-city route.
LONGER JOURNEY
A multi-country trip can combine Vietnam with Phnom Penh or Siem Reap when you have enough time and prefer a broader Indochina itinerary.
CHOOSE BY TRIP LENGTH
Short Vietnam holidays work best when the route matches the actual arrival and departure times of your Malaysia–Vietnam flights. A late arrival or early departure can remove a large part of one sightseeing day. Use the Vietnam itinerary from Malaysia guide when you need to compare how many regions realistically fit the usable days you have.
Best for one compact destination cluster without unnecessary internal flights or long cross-country transfers.
Good options:
Gives more flexibility for a second nearby destination and is a practical format for many short Vietnam holidays.
Good options:
Suitable when you want several nearby destinations while retaining reasonable time for meals, shopping, photos and rest.
Good options:
Offers enough time for a fuller regional journey or a two-region trip when flights and transfers are sequenced carefully.
Good options:
Need help deciding how much to fit into your trip? A well-paced route is usually better than adding another city simply to increase the destination count.
CHOOSE HOW YOU TRAVEL
The right format depends on how much flexibility you want, whether your travel dates are fixed and whether you prefer to book your international flights independently.
| Package type | Best for | Schedule | Flexibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private tour | Couples, families and private groups | Designed around your dates | High |
| Tailor-made tour | Custom routes and special requirements | Built around your confirmed brief | Highest |
| Scheduled group tour | Travelers comfortable with fixed departures | Fixed route and timing | Lower |
| Ground / land package | Travelers booking Malaysia–Vietnam flights separately | Built around confirmed flights | High |
Your quotation should clearly state whether the arrangement is private, shared or based on a fixed departure. Do not assume a service is private unless it is shown that way in the confirmed itinerary.
A lower headline price is not automatically the better package if the two quotations include different things. Malaysian group departures often bundle airfare, fixed hotels, meals and a tour leader; an ITG land package may start after arrival in Vietnam and place more of the budget into route flexibility, hotel choice or private services. Compare the actual scope before deciding.
| Compare | Malaysia flight-inclusive package | Vietnam land / tailor-made package |
|---|---|---|
| International airfare | May be bundled into the advertised package | Usually booked separately unless explicitly quoted |
| Departure date | Often fixed to a scheduled group departure | Can be built around your own confirmed flights |
| Hotels and rooming | Usually predetermined by the series | Can be adjusted by hotel level, room type and availability |
| Daily pace | Normally follows a fixed group programme | Can be adjusted where the confirmed itinerary allows |
| Meals and guides | Often bundled according to the group programme | Included only where listed in the written proposal |
| Best fit | Travelers comfortable with fixed dates and a bundled group format | Travelers who value route control, hotel choice or private/tailor-made arrangements |
If you are comparing quotations mainly by price, use our Vietnam package price guide for Malaysians so the comparison uses the same inclusion basis.
MUSLIM-FRIENDLY TRAVEL
Muslim travelers can request meal and itinerary arrangements during the quotation stage. Availability differs between destinations, so requirements should be discussed before the hotels, restaurants and daily schedule are confirmed. If you are still working out the wider food, prayer and hotel requirements before requesting a quote, use our Muslim-Friendly Vietnam Travel Guide first.
Tell us whether you specifically require Halal-certified restaurants, Muslim-friendly restaurants or simply meals without pork and alcohol.
Restaurant availability varies between Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc and smaller destinations.
Private itineraries can provide more flexibility for personal time, prayer breaks and meal timing where practical.
A meal should only be described as Halal-certified when that status has been confirmed by the relevant restaurant or supplier.
PLAN AROUND YOUR FLIGHTS
Your ITG land itinerary normally begins after arrival in Vietnam. Share your confirmed flight schedule so that airport transfers, sightseeing and hotel nights can be planned around your actual arrival and departure times. If you have not chosen the gateway yet, compare Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc in our Malaysia to Vietnam flights guide before locking the land route.
Match your arrival airport to the region you want to explore: Hanoi for Northern Vietnam, Da Nang for Central Vietnam or Ho Chi Minh City for Southern Vietnam.
If your preferred route requires a connection, compare total travel time rather than looking only at the headline airfare before choosing a short 4D3N or 5D4N itinerary.
Send the complete arrival and departure schedule before the itinerary is finalized so the first and final sightseeing days remain realistic.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR
Package inclusions vary by itinerary. The final quotation is the controlling document: a service is included only when it appears in the confirmed itinerary or inclusion list.
Before paying a deposit: review the final inclusions, exclusions, hotels, room type, transport, payment conditions, amendment terms and cancellation conditions.
COMPARE THE TOTAL VALUE
The final price depends on more than the number of days. Compare quotations using the same hotel level, room arrangement, transport, meals, entrance fees, guide services and flight inclusions.
Additional hotel nights, guide days, transport and activities increase the total package cost.
A 3★ itinerary and a premium 5★ itinerary should not be compared using only the headline package price.
Private vehicle and guide costs are distributed differently between couples, families and larger groups.
Hotel, cruise and other supplier rates can change during peak periods, holidays and special-event dates.
Multi-region trips may require domestic flights or longer private transfers that affect the final quotation.
Upgraded rooms, additional meals and optional experiences should be quoted separately before approval.
The written quotation should be the basis for comparison and confirmation. It should identify the confirmed services, known exclusions and optional additions before you approve the trip. If you later request a change or extra service, ask for the revised price and conditions before confirming it.
