Discover the best of Da Nang and Hoi An on this relaxed 4-day Central Vietnam itinerary. Enjoy a full day at Ba Na Hills, where mountain scenery, French-inspired architecture, cable cars and family-friendly activities create a memorable experience.

Continue to Marble Mountains to explore natural caves, pagodas and scenic viewpoints, followed by an evening walking tour through Hoi An Ancient Town. The tour also includes time to experience Hoi An’s lantern-lit atmosphere and join its traditional floating lantern activity on Thu Bon River.

With free time on arrival and before departure, the programme offers a balanced mix of sightseeing, culture and leisure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Day 1: Da Nang Arrival

Overnight in Da Nang

Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, meet the driver and transfer to the hotel.

Standard check-in time is from 2:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to hotel availability and confirmation on arrival. The driver will wait for a maximum of one hour after the arrival flight.

The rest of the day is free for leisure activities or optional tours. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 2Day 2: Da Nang – Ba Na Hills – Da Nang (B/L)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch | Overnight in Da Nang

After breakfast, meet the vehicle at approximately 8:30–8:40 AM and transfer to the meeting point to join the shared tour to Ba Na Hills.

Visit Le Jardin, old wineries at your own expense, the remains of the French Villas and Linh Ung Pagoda, which features a 27-metre-high Buddha statue.

Continue by cable car to the mountain top to see additional French villa remains. Conquer Chua Mountain Peak at an altitude of 1,487 metres and enjoy views over Da Nang beneath the clouds.

Enjoy the games at Fantasy Park before returning by cable car to the foot of Ba Na Mountain. Transfer back to Da Nang for an overnight stay.

Day 3Day 3: Da Nang – Marble Mountains – Hoi An – Da Nang (B/D)

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner | Overnight in Da Nang

After breakfast, enjoy free time at leisure. At approximately 4:00 PM, transfer to the meeting point and join the shared tour.

Visit Marble Mountains, named after the five elements, and the Hoa Hai stone carving village. Climb to explore natural caves, rocky Buddha statues, Tam Thai Pagoda and Linh Ung Pagoda, with views over the river and sea.

Stop at the marble carving village for photos and to observe local artists at work.

Continue to Hoi An Ancient Town for a walking tour through its historic streets. Experience the town’s candle-lantern evening atmosphere and join the festival activity of floating paper lotus lanterns on Thu Bon River at your own expense.

Return to Da Nang for an overnight stay.

Day 4Day 4: Da Nang Departure (B)

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, enjoy free time before checking out from the hotel. Standard check-out time is 12:00 PM; late check-out is subject to hotel confirmation.

At the arranged time, transfer to Da Nang International Airport for your departure flight home.

 Verified Exploring Hanoi
Booked 2, 2 day private tours and money was well spent. Private tours means you can where possible avoid crowds and gain entry and exit quicker. Hai and Lun who we had for both days were professional and very prompt. They also could read when our energy was getting low and adapted the tour to our needs. Also understood when to chat and not as we spent a few hours travel time in car. If you’re wanting to explore Hanoi and the outer areas of Hanoi spend the extra money and book through this company. Viator and other sites are good for quick trips but for longer trips use Indochina group who are very professional

We had the great pleasure of having Hai Nguyen as our guide on today’s Bai Dinh Pagoda–Trang An tour, organised by Indochina Travel Group, and he truly made the day special. Hai was a wonderful representative of the friendly and welcoming Vietnamese culture. We have done a private tour going to: HOA LU TEMPLE - MUA CAVE - TRANG AN Miami was our lovely tour guide. Her English was excellent and clear. She hosting us in the perfect possible way. We had a late arrival the day before and left us to rest during the 2,5 hour drive. Arrived, she gave us much energy to during the tour and she easily joined us with the 500 steps stairs towards a beautiful view. A big shoutout to Miami and the driver!

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!

What should I do if I get lost during the tour?
