Day 1: Hanoi Arrival - Driver Only

- Welcome to Hanoi, the heart of Vietnam which is considered as a blend of traditional and modern beauties.
- At Noi Bai Airport, the driver will welcome then take you to your hotel to check-in.
- Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi Half - day City and Streetfood Tour (Lunch or Dinner)

- Your tour guide and driver will meet you in Hanoi for an exciting half-day city tour.
- Begin your journey at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, where you’ll take a short walk through Ba Dinh Square, the historic site where Ho Chi Minh proclaimed Vietnam’s independence in 1945. Next, visit the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, a unique Buddhist structure built in 1049 by King Ly Thai Tong. Inspired by a dream of the Bodhisattva seated on a lotus flower, the King designed the pagoda to resemble a lotus rising from the water, making it one of the most distinctive religious sites in Asia.
- Hop on a Cyclo (rickshaw) and explore the charming streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where each street is named after traditional guilds, such as Hang Bac (Silver Street), Hang Gai (Silk Street), and Hang Tre (Bamboo Street). This ride offers a fantastic opportunity for photos and a glimpse into local life.
- For an authentic local experience, board a train from Gia Lam Station to Long Bien Station, passing over Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi’s oldest bridge and a symbol of resilience.
- Drive from the hotel to a famous local market in the heart of the city – Chau Long market, there we learn the different types of food and vegetables, herbs, …experience the way that local people are doing their business in the small stores. Your local guide will give you an insight into the intricacies and traditions of Vietnamese food culture, including details on ingredients and historical backgrounds of popular northern dishes. Many delicious dishes are waiting for your tasting in the Old quarters.

Day 3: Incense Village - Hoa Lu - Trang An (Lunch)
Timeline
- 08:00: Guide and driver will pick you at hotel for depart to Incense village Quang Phu Cau.
- 9.15: Arrive at Incense Village – named Quang Phu Cau. The incense to dry in various formations, you’ll get pictures of people working among this sea of red and color. Do capture a variety of shots of the workers in action, the village workshops, shooting images of the incense-making process. Visiting some local people’s houses to be widen knowledge about the real life of Vietnamese. Taking more images of the friendly locals who have worked on producing incense in this village for generations. Your tour guide will give you information about the worshipping culture and religions in Vietnam.
- 10.30: Departure for Ninh Binh – one of the most beautiful place for tourism in the Northern Vietnam
- 11.30: Restroom, local coffee at the Rest stop.
- 12.15: Arrive Ninh Binh, you enjoy lunch with Vietnamese cuisine.
- 13:30: Visit the area of ancient capital city Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s most significant remnant from the past, experience the establishment and history of the first capital of Vietnam. Learn about the remarkable and distinctive architecture found in the temples of King Dinh and King Le, who made significant contributions to the ancient kingdom.
- 14:15: Take a boat excursion from Trang An wharf – a must-do activity in Ninh Binh, it is the most highlight of the journey. On the Trang An Ecosystem, you will ride on bamboo boat or sampan to go through some beautiful grottos filled with stunning stalactites, you’ll be able to take in the breathtaking scenery.
- 17:00: Disembark the sampans, get on the car and return to Hanoi.
- 19:00: You will be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 4: Halong Bay Overnight On Cruise (Lunch/Dinner)
Timeline
- 08:30: Our driver will pick you up at hotel and transfer to Halong
- 11:45: Arrival in Catherine Cruise’s Lounge at Tuan Chau marina, you enjoy a Catherine homemade welcome drink and meet the crew.
- 12:15: Check-in on board.
- 12:30: The cruise manager will give you a short cruise briefing and safety guide.
- 12:45: Enjoy your lunch at the luxurious restaurant which is well prepared by Catherine’s professional chefs.
- 14:30: Time to explore the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay by kayaking at Luon Cave.
- 15:45: You continue to visit Titop Island for hiking or swimming (Towels are supplied).

- 19:15: Dinner with set menu is served.

Day 5: Halong - Hanoi Departure (B/BRunch) - Driver Only
Timeline
- 06:15: Start your wonderful day with Tai Chi class on the sundeck.
- 06:45: Enjoy your light breakfast in the restaurant.
- 07:45: Visit Sung Sot Cave – the largest cave in Halong Bay which is in the center of the UNESCO World Heritage area. Rubber shoes and sandals are highly recommended.
- 09:15: Room check-out: After visiting the cave, return to our Catherine Cruise to pack your luggage and check-out.
- 09:45: Full brunch buffet was served in the dining room while cruising back to the main port. Settles your bills at the reception counter.
- 10:45: Disembark Catherine vessel at Tuan Chau marina. Our driver will pick you up and transfer you to End of service. After breakfast, you will be free to relax at hotel until transfer to the airport to take flight back home.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?
We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
