In order to host their 350 wedding guests, an Indian couple rented out a whole five-star resort in the priciest part of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island, for four days.

The Indian couple’s wedding is scheduled to take place in the Sunset Town area from January 20th to the 23rd, according to a Sun World spokesman who spoke with VnExpress.

A seven-bedroom villa at the resort costs VND200 million (about $8,092) per night out of a total of 234 rooms, suites, and villas.

The happy couple picked the resort around six months ago as the location for their nuptials. They visited Vietnam four times to assess service quality and verify locations.

The resort has a long history of beautiful Indian weddings, according to the representative. An Indian billionaire’s 2019 wedding was also planned by them.

On the evening of January 21, the Sangeet ceremony—a traditional Hindu wedding—took place in Sunset Town’s Grand Ballroom of Sun Signature Gallery, surrounded by the bride and groom’s closest friends and family.

Jan. 22 was the wedding day. The newlyweds started their traditional Indian wedding day with the Haldi ceremony at the resort.

After that, a Baraat bridal procession involving luxury cars was held, beginning at the resort and ending at the wedding site in Sunset Town.

On Tuesday night, during the wedding ceremony, there will be a spectacular fireworks display.

The seven enormous red-yellow chairs and the lotus flowers floating on water, which represent Vietnamese culture, are details that bring together Indian and indigenous Vietnamese elements at the wedding.

The official wedding ceremony in Phu Quoc is scheduled to take place at sunset.

The couple worked with the resort’s international culinary staff and brought dozens of skilled Indian chefs to Phu Quoc to ensure that the lavish parties would go on all night long.

Cuisines from all over the world, including India, France, the Mediterranean, Vietnam, and Thailand, will be served at the celebration.

With a 231% increase from 2019, Indian tourists were Vietnam’s fastest-growing market last year.
